January Recap

Wow.  I feel like nothing that I planned at the beginning of the month got put up, but I got some really great recipes up and I finally finish Life of Pi!  Hopefully, I will do better this coming month.  And I took my first steps toward promoting this blog with our second Vintage Stamp Giveaway sponsored by TreasureFox.

Vintage Fabrics, Clothing, and Accessories

This more like a teaser for some posts next month, but it is worth checking out.  My favorite find so far is the hat.

Be My Valentine Frame

A quick and simple design to showcase your sweetheart this year.  All you need is an old frame, some paint, and a brush.

Make Your Own Journal

This was my first attempt at bookmaking and it is definitely sometime that I will be looking into further.  Again, a simple and relatively quick project.

Candied Peels

This recipe has become one of my all-time favorites.  You can make candy out of something that a month ago, I would just throw into the trash.  Mind-boggling and brilliant.  Thanks to Rebecca for sharing this link.

Berry Lemonade

Making lemonade isn't unusual for me, but for some reason I began craving some flavor combinations.  Taking the idea from the Blackberry & Meyer Lemon Gin & Tonics, I crushed up some fruit at the bottom and made Blackberry Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade, and my favorite Cherry Lemonade.

Stamp & Coin Show

This month, I checked out the local stamp & coin show to see what kind of deals I could find and to get into the mind of my sponsor, Treasurefox.
