A Holiday Past-time

As a child, I always enjoyed making snowflakes for the holidays.  It is a really fun and easy craft for the whole family:  all you need is paper and scissors (and string if you want to hang them).

How to fold the paper...
  1. Hold the paper horizontal.
  2. Fold it in half from left to right.
  3. Fold it in half again from top to bottom.
  4. Fold it along the diagonal.
  5. Fold it along the diagonal a second time.
Trim off the end of the paper at it's shortest length (this will be inside one of the folds).  Cut notches, other shapes out of the folded paper.  Once done, unfold to see your finished snowflake!

Here is our string of snowflakes.
