November Recap

My first full month (if you discount my sick leave) draws to a close.  I didn't get all the things that I wanted to do done, but I'm still working out the kinks in this blog writing business.  Here are some of my favorite posts from this month, as well as some of my favorite links from other sites.

Vintage Postage Stamps Christmas Giveaway!

This giveaway is still going on!  Look here to see how you could win enough postage to mail 10 Christmas cards!  Vintage postage is a great way to spruce up any letter whether it be birthday cards, corporate parties, or wedding invitations.

Animal Masks

Fun and easy to make, these felt masks can be designed for each child's favorite animal and is great for imagination play.  My featured masks are a Lion, a Turkey, and a Bunny.

Bay Area Discovery Museum

This month, I took my nephew to the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito, California, and he loved it!  Although his favorite area with the stream at Tot Spot, each building had something new and exciting for him to play with and learn.

Introduced the Book Club

A project that is still in the developmental stages, this month's book was Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.  Set sometime in the future, mankind is in the middle of long term war with an alien race know as buggers and their only hope is a six year old boy named Ender Wiggin.
